I have in memory the latest update of the video formats that Apple released in the past month of April and all because of a bug in the version that made it ask us for the installation again and again despite having it installed. Now and after the update 5 months ago version 2.0.2 of the video format arrives and it seems that everything works fine once we install it on our Mac, at least in my case.
This update adds support for video codecs and in this case we are talking about: Apple Intermediate Codec, Apple ProRes, AVC-Intra, DVCPRO HD, HDV, XDCAM EX / HD / HD422, MPEG IMX and uncompressed 4: 2: 2.
In addition to support for the above video codecs, the update also adds support for MXF:
- Native MXF file import, editing, and sharing with Final Cut Pro X and Motion
- MXF Sharing Presets for Compressor
- Export to MXF OP1a
If this update does not appear automatically on your Mac, you can access it through the Mac App Store application> Updates or by accessing it from the menu> App Store. The important thing is to update our Mac as soon as possible to take advantage of the compatibility improvements provided in this version.
