2nd generation Apple TV is included in vintage device list

Throughout the year, Apple usually modifies the list of old and obsolete products, adding new devices that become part of this category. Antique / vintage products are those that aree stopped manufacturing more than five years ago but less than sevenTherefore, the company no longer offers hardware technical support to the devices considered in this way, except if we reside in Turkey or California. Obsolete products are those that were discontinued more than seven years ago and it is impossible to find spare parts officially, that is, through an Apple Store, so that we are forced to look in second-hand or similar stores .

The last device that has become part of the vintage devices has been the second generation Apple TV, a device that hit the market in September 2010 and disappeared from the market two years later, in September 2012, after the launch of the third generation Apple TV, which allowed us to play content in 1080p resolution. If we continue with the Apple product history class, you may be interested to know that the first Apple TV was released in 2007.

The first Apple TV offered us both RCA and HDMI connections to be compatible with all televisions of the moment. It also offered internal storage space from 40 GB to 160 GB of the latest model that reached the market before its withdrawal. In September 2010 came the second generation, a completely redesigned second generation with so 8 GB of internal storage to manage the files that passed through the device before being played on television. Currently only the 4th generation Apple TV is available, in versions of 32 and 64 Gb of storage.
