42 peripherals connected to the new Mac Pro

We have talked a lot about the great possibilities that the new Mac Pro can allow us, one of the most powerful computers on the market built by the apple brand, Apple. A Mac Pro that pleasantly surprised us with its update of that outdated model that could well be compared to any desktop computer, the new Mac Pro is power linked to design, and the possibilities of the computer guarantee its power.

A Mac Pro that was harmed by the availability times of the same, and it was launched at the end of last year but could not begin to distribute until months later. A shipping period that appears to be being reduced to shipping periods of between three and five weeks as we could count a few days ago. Today we bring you news that well supports the power we are talking about, and it is that 42 peripheral devices connected to a new Mac Pro are many peripherals.

And it is that a few days ago the boys of Macworld held what they called 'Mac Pro Daisy Challenge', a test that consisted of connecting up to 42 peripheral devices to a single Mac Pro.

We connect 36 hard drivess (19 via Thunderbolt, 15 USB, 2 FireWire 800) that combined contributed up to 100.63TB. Additionally we connect two docks via Thunderbolt (the Belkin Thunderbolt Express Dock and the CalDigit Thunderbolt Station), a Apple Thunderbolt Display, two Apple Cinema Displays, and one HP Z Display z27. All this in a single Mac Pro.

A dozen of these devices were powered through the ports of the Mac Pro itself., and the other 24 devices had an external power supply.

The test itself produced the result that aEven though all these devices were connected to a single Mac Pro, no device was affected in terms of performance. A very interesting experiment that once again demonstrates the possibilities of the Mac Pro.
