5 new features for the iPad Pro
The introduction has already been done, so I am ready to comment on these 5 news or modifications without getting involved:
- New Evolved Fusion Chip. In power and performance it is going very well but if Apple intends to improve and take the operating system to another level it must take care of performance. Battery and performance are affected depending on what news and features we use. The double window in the applications, the Picture and Picture, the Multitasking, the Apple Pencil and other issues require good power and the best control of performance and battery. For this the new processors would work even better. They did it with the iPhone 7 and they can do it again with the iPad Pro.
- New sizes. We currently have 9,7 and 12,9. A size of 10,5 inches could join the family. Something in between. Maybe they will reduce the margins a bit, although these days I find them useful and do not bother me.
- Water resistance. You're not going to get it wet, but you put it on the table every day, what if you drop a glass or something? It better be a little more resistant.
- Same technology and specifications for all. Currently the 9,7-inch model has more news because it came later. The 2 or 3 sizes you enter should match.
- AMOLED screen? I don't think Apple will jump into it so soon, but they could show us the best quality LCD screen we've ever seen. Better or the same as the iPhone 7. More brightness and color, although it seems impossible.
Is an update necessary just to include these new features? Not quite, but Apple could surprise us with more aspects for the iPad Pro. We will have to wait for them to present them.
When would the new iPad Pro arrive?
It won't be this year. We have not seen them in September and if Apple were to present new products it would be the Mac. We have been waiting a long time for the redesign of the Macbook Pro and the update of the Mac Mini and Pro. If they released this year the new iPads would not come with enough changes or new things and they wouldn't be as attractive as they might be next year with new technology and significant changes.
Therefore, the arrival of the new iPad Pro would be for when the 9,7-inch Pro model turns one year, that is, in the first half of 2017. There are many media and rumors that say that it will be next year when this range takes on the meaning it requires to attract users and when they introduce significant changes. I doubt that they will modify the product itself much if they do not do it through the software, but who knows, the same iOS 11 is focused on improving the functions and the daily work with the iPad.
