Windows has always been involved, practically since its birth, with viruses, Trojans, malware, spyware, and more. Nevertheless, the macOS ecosystem is not free from all these risks. However, it seems that general opinion continues to blame Microsoft's Windows for being a security sneak.
The boys of Jamf have carried out a survey among high school students to find out not only which operating system they are currently using, but also which one they would like to use. According to the respondents, 71% of all of them currently speak or study with a Mac.
If we break down the figure, of that 71%, 40% already study from a Mac, while the remaining 31% do it from a PC but would prefer to do it with a Mac. Only 29% of those surveyed use and prefer to use a Windows PC. Obviously, these data refer to American students, where Apple's share of both computers and smartphones is much higher than that found outside the country.
Reasons why they prefer Mac
The reasons why students prefer to work with Macs are different among which they stand out because they like the brand, because of the design and style and because they are easy to use. Synchronization with other devices is another of the most important points pointed out by students in addition to the durability it offers (it will not be the butterfly keyboard of the MacBook) and that there are better applications than in Windows.
Some of these reasons are questionable, such as that there are better applications on Mac than on Windows, as well as in terms of design, since we have at our disposal in the market a large number of models to choose from, each of them with completely different designs.
According to this survey, users who prefer and use a PC are solely and exclusively for the price. I do not know to what extent the impartiality of this company when conducting the survey has been compromised, but if we take into account that only 2244 students were interviewed for the survey, we can already get an idea of its value .
