Last week, Apple sent out invitations for its "Spring Forward" event to be held at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco on March 9. Within this invitation, many hope that the Apple keynote will only talk about the launch dates of the Apple Watch and little else.

However, sources close to the situation within Apple have leaked a report specifying that Apple plans to release the long-awaited MacBook Air Retina within the same event. A report that different media have already described as quite credible.

We must bear in mind that this information is in line with what Apple analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities  and Andrés Uerkwitz of Oppenheimer have been predicting for months.

On the other hand, sources within the supply chain who spoke to the press have also said that Apple intensified its production at the end of 2014 entering a mass production stage in December, with the aim of producing enough units of an undiscovered device, for its debut in early 2015.

If we think about it, the only product that has not yet been updated to "retina" resolution that Apple sells is the MacBook Air if we leave aside the Thunderbolt Display, so it is not at all unreasonable to think that apart from upgrade display and internal hardware there will also be a design change and an even more mobility-oriented philosophy.

This MacBook Air Retina, according to previous reports is believed to come with an ultra-slim design that combines the productivity of the current 13-inch MacBook Air with the portability of the 11-inch variant. This means that the processors will be Intel of low consumption and next generation, specifically the Broadwell Core M, which would allow Apple even do without a fan to achieve the slimmest possible profile.
