Apple's vice president of health has recently granted an interview to MobiHealthNews, in which he discussed Apple products and the role they bring to the world of health. He also commented the good relationship the company maintains with the FDA that regulates in the US, among other things, medicines.

Regarding the FDA, we have been working with them for years and have developed a good relationship…. Yet they put us to work. I mean, they asked us very difficult questions and given the size and impact we had, they were very critical of our products and made sure that we are doing the right thing, with the user and customer safety in mind first.

And we really do develop fall detection for everyone.
Therefore, Apple continues to bet on this function, since it is a function with important impact for humanity.
