Apple Releases Safari Technology Preview 149

Safari Technology Preview

Safari Technology Preview in its version 149, can now be downloaded from the Apple developer portal. You already know that this browser is the one destined to carry out all the tests of all those novelties that Apple wants to implement in Safari. It is the test bench for all those features that you want to test before launching. A browser suitable for developers that in this new edition does not contribute much.

The experimental browser that Apple first introduced in March 2016 has a new version. we meet now with number 149 of this browser designed to test all those features that we later want to see working in Safari. A test context that is very useful for developers to know if the new functions will be functional later.

Version 149 of the ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ includes bug fixes and performance improvements for Web Inspector, Media, CSS, CSS Container Queries, Rendering, JavaScript, Screen Sharing, Web Animations, WebAuthn, Navigation Preload, Web API and Security. This current version of ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ is based on the Safari 16 update and includes support for features coming in macOS Ventura, such as Live Text, Passkeys, web extension improvements, and a few more. We have to note that this new version is compatible with hardware running macOS 13 Ventura, unlike previous versions of ‌Safari Technology Preview‌, but it no longer works with macOS Big Sur.

If you are a developer, surely you have already been aware of this new update and if not, then you already know how to proceed and from where you can download the new version. We encourage you to download it and tell us If you have found any more news apart from the already mentioned of those bug fixes and such.
