Apple Maps vehicles will travel practically all over Spain in the next two months

Apple Maps

Yesterday we informed you of the expansion of Apple's map service, both in airports and in shopping centers. Fortunately, Apple's expansion plans do not stop at any time and today we talk about this service again. Currently Apple vehicles are in Hawaii and Nevada, but starting in March they will tour practically the entire peninsula.

According to Apple's website, the Cupertino-based company has expanded the number of vehicles it currently has around the world by collecting data for its mapping service. In addition, it also shows us a list of names where their vehicles have already passed and where they will do so soon.

Apple began collecting map data for its mapping service in 2015 and today it offers complete information for 45 of the 52 states. If we move out of the United States, Apple vehicles have passed through Spain, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Slovenia, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Unlike Google, whose vehicles collected private data such as Wi-Fi networks of the homes we passed by, Apple remains committed to protecting our privacy as it conducts its mapping through its vehicles. Like Google, both the faces of the people that appear during your tour, as well as the license plates, appear blurred.

As the years have passed, the Apple map service has not only been improving a lot, but also the number of functions and services it offers us has increased considerably, currently being a more than valid alternative to the search giant's almighty Google Maps.
