The launch of Apple Pay in Germany was surrounded by a large number of rumors, until it finally arrived just a few months ago. Much the same has happened with the Czech Republic. Many have been the rumors that claimed that Apple's wireless payments technology was about to hit this country.

The latest source that assures that Apple Pay will arrive in the Czech Republic, comes from an employee of a company who is working to offer the technology of Apple Pay wireless payments in the country, being February 19, the date chosen for the launch in the country.

This same source assures that initially 5 banks will offer compatibility with Apple Pay since its launch: Komerční banka, MONETY, Česká spořitelna, Air Bank and mBank. To these five banks we must add Twisto, the digital banking service that operates in the country and which will also be compatible with Apple Pay on the day of its launch.

Apple Pay first debuted in the United States in October 2014, a month after its official presentation, and since then it has been expanding to more than thirty countries. This technology allows us to make secure payments in stores and applications, as well as web pages, using the iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.

Almost every month, the boys of Cupertino expand the number of supported banks with this technology throughout the world, although as usual, the largest number of compatible banks and entities can be found in the United States.

Currently, the countries where Apple Pay is available are: Germany, Australia, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Isle of Man, Guirney, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Norway, New Zealand, Russia, Poland, San Marino, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States and Vatican City.
