Apple is in a "frenzy" this September in terms of betas. Today we know at least the launch of the macOS Catalina ninth beta and watchOS 6.1 first beta for developers.
The company does not have all the operating systems as it would have liked. It is the eternal debate about having new products on the market in September or waiting a few weeks to have stable software. Apple and many users prefer to have the new systems in the hands of the users and correct the small mismatches.
Regarding the ninth version of macOS Catalina, we did not find changes compared to version 8. At the moment we are correcting detected errors by all users who, professionally or privately, have encountered problems or difficulties with a new function. This also helps application developers to detect incompatibilities and report it to Apple if the problem is caused by the operating system.
Something more expectation brings version 6.1 of watchOS 6. However, so far we do not know if the news that will be available in the beta of watchOS 6.1. Perhaps the big question is whether this version will be compatible from the beginning with the Apple Watch Series 1 and 2 or this compatibility will come later. As always, to install the watchOS beta on the watch, we must have the developer profile on the iPhone, to install the new version from this device.
As always, it is not advisable to install betas on devices where we carry out an important part of our work or that contain sensitive information, such as documents, photographs, etc. On the other hand, we continue no release date to the general public of the final version of macos catalina. Usually this week the final version of the Mac software is released.
