Apple employees will have a 1Password account and the service is rumored to be acquired

That the 1Password service has marked a before and after in password management, is a reality. The stability and robustness of the system makes the main service to keep your passwords safe, is gaining many followers every day. But not only users may be interested.

It is one of these services that innovate in the market, to the point that Apple is interested in it. An example of innovation is in its time Dropbox and today, any relevant platform has a cloud service similar to Dropbox.

Today we know the news why Apple would trust the application so much that it would be thinking of offering a 1Password account for each of the 100.000 employees in the coming months. Perhaps the agreements will not stop there, since Apple would be willing to buy the AgileBits parent company, to take over the services of the password manager, according to Jonathan Geller, editor-in-chief of BGR.

According to our source, after many months of planning, Apple plans to roll out 1Password internally for its 100,000+ employees. This includes not only employees in Cupertino, but also covers the entire retail sector. Additionally, the company is said to have forged a deal that includes family plans, giving each employee up to 5 additional members with a free license to 1Password.

As we anticipated, Apple would be willing to buy the matrix, to have the service at hand.

Either this deal is the actual acquisition, structured in a way that provides additional annual income for a specified number of years, or there is something else that we don't know about. Jeff Shiner, the CEO of AgileBits, the "Apple takeover" was overheard in the glass conference room at the company's Toronto office, but we have no firm details on what the context was, and no specifics of the potential deal.

Apple has a similar service, known as Apple Keychains. But externally the handling of this application is somewhat complex and limited. We will see what Apple's plans are in this service that fits perfectly with its purposes.

UPDATE: A few minutes ago, AgileBits posted on its Twitter account that the rumors about the purchase by Apple is false. Therefore, we rule out this possibility for now.
