Apple hires ex-Time Warner Cable executive for its iCloud team

We get news of movements in the noble zone of Apple executives. According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple has just acquired the services of the former executive of Time Warner Cable, Peter stern, what he will now be part of the cloud services team.

Stern will manage said team from his new position as Vice President, reporting directly to your superior iTunes manager, the well-known Eddy Cue.

During his years of work at the head of Time Warner Cable, Stern starred in a conversation with the Californian company about a possible agreement between both companies to jointly offer the television service on Apple TV. However, this agreement was never produced, due to the difficulties that Apple had with the content developers.

In his years leading up to his current incorporation at Apple, Peter served in strategy and development roles at a high corporate level, since it was a participant in numerous acquisition attempts in recent years.

Recently, Stern helped implement a strategy focused on customer service, contributing to the improvement of the subscriptions that the company has obtained over the last year, after almost a decade of losses.

He left his position at the cable company earlier this year, coinciding with the acquisition by Charter Communications.

According to this medium, Stern is a an eloquent advocate for the removal of so many gadgets provided by cable companies. He thinks that digital content providers must "be open" to offer tailored TV channels, adapting according to the consumer and the application or applications used by them, on a wide range of devices.

Taking into account his extensive experience in the audiovisual industry, Stern can help Eddy Cue negotiate collaboration agreements with companies in the sector for a television service of the future. These services would also include Apple Music, iTunes, and other iCloud-based products.
