On time, two weeks after the first, Apple just released the second beta of tvOS 11.4.1. and WatchOS 5 for developers, in order to put it to the test and debug errors as soon as possible and have more or less stable versions.
On the part of tvOS, we can know the evolutions that we will have available in AirPlay 2. Fourth and fifth generation Apple TVs can access the tvOS beta through the profile downloaded with Xcode. We will see if there are any new features in this version, because in the first version we only saw bug fixes.
TvOS is an operating system that does not make big changes between one version or another, but in its favor we will say that they are very stable. In any case, if we find anything new, we will transfer it to you as soon as possible. The version of tvOS 11.4.1, may be one of the last updates of version 11, as the company is focused on tvOS 12 presented at the last WWDC.
In contrast, watchOS 5 in its first beta for developers did not have the expected result. Apple was forced to withdraw it to be blocked certain Apple Watch. The current version promises to be compatible with any supported Apple Watch model.
We hope to see in the first beta, all the novelties presented at WWDC, among them the most relevant were Walkie-Talkie and Competition in activities.
Updating to these versions is not recommended if it is your main device, where you can have relevant information, until you find at least one more or less stable version of the operating systems. Also, returning watchOS 5 to the current version is not possible without going through Apple support. This does not happen with other Apple operating systems, it is unique to watchOS. In fact, there is no public beta for watchOS.
