Apple patents headphones that easily switch from wired to wireless

Today Apple has presented a new patent related to the possibility that exists that they will put on the market, very soon, some wireless headphones. In this case the patent points to a model of headphones that could switch between wired to wireless quickly and easily.

However, this would not be a novelty and there are already headphones from other brands that can be used with cable or without cable according to the end user. Now, this type of headphones have several drawbacks and that is, for example, when you go from wired to wireless there are bluetooth devices that do not automatically detect this change and the user must link them again.

This would be one of the novelties that Apple wants to solve with this patent and that is that those from Cupertino want that when wired headphones are turned into wireless by disconnecting the cable, are detected by the devices automatically and start working without the user having to do any action.

In order to do this, the patent speaks of a kind of different and automatic coding that is generated in the device when it detects that the cable has been disconnected.

The second downside of this system and which Apple wants to solve is that when the headphones detect the disconnection of the cable there is a switching time in the working mode and at that time the audio is interrupted. Apple wants the change in operating mode not to be noticed.

Finally, the patent describes how a single cable can supply both the audio signal and power, allowing the headphones to be charged from another device. We will see if this patent is implemented in new headphones and that they see the light very soon.
