This new external feature is the possibility of adding the option of the screen with glass to the 27-inch iMac range. nanotextured. An anti-reflective matte surface, previously only available as an option on the Pro Display XDR monitor. Apple just published a guide on how to keep it clean.
From now on you can order a 27-inch iMac with the special nano-textured screen. With this new option, the iMac screen stops having reflections, as it has a glass treated at the nanometer level to reduce the reflectivity and glare.
Nano-textured glass is available on the iMac from 27 inches as an option with a cost of 625 Euros. It is the same finish that already existed as an option for Apple's Pro Display XDR monitor, which has an extra cost of 1000 Euros to add to the price of the monitor.
If you have a monitor with nano-textured glass, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has some cleaning recommendations very specific that you want your users to follow to keep all the visual characteristics of the screen.
A special cloth comes in the iMac box
Apple advises those who purchase the iMac model with nano-texture glass to use the Cleaning Cloth that Apple provides. Nor should you use water or liquids to clean the glass. IMac owners can, at best, dampen the cloth with a 70 percent isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution to clean up some tough-to-remove stains.
Apple advises that iMac owners should never use any other wipe to clean the glass, and if the cleaning cloth included with the iMac is lost, you should purchase another from Apple Support, at a cost of 10 Euros.
Apple also has specific instructions for washing the supplied cloth, which includes the use of dish soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and then allow to air dry for at least 24 hours.
Glass standard iMac It can be cleaned with a regular microfiber cloth and a small amount of water, while the case can be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
