Apple releases sixth beta of tvOS 11.3 for developers

Changing the step somewhat, Apple has us used to presenting the betas on Monday afternoons in Europe and logically in the morning in the United States, with this it intends to give free rein to developers to work with the new beta throughout week.

In this case, Tuesday was the day chosen to release beta 6 of tvOS 11.3. Remember that these betas are aimed only at the most recent Apple TVs, that is, those that load tvOS. We are talking about the 4th generation Apple and the Apple TV 4K.

If you are a developer, remember that to install them, it is required Apple Configurator and Xcode. The most important news that we will see in version 11.3, have to do with the AirPlay 2 development. The first generation that released content to television was an important change and we will see what this second version brings us. At first, It is designed for the installation of all kinds of peripherals, which can be controlled with HomeKit.

In early versions, we saw the possibility to play different songs on Apple TV distributed between different rooms. However, this feature was removed in beta 3 and we do not know if it will be in the final version.

Other new features that version 11.3 brings us are more settings in content playback, including changing the frame rate. In other words, AirPlay converts the playback to the number of frames that tvOS accepted. However, the final version must allow you to choose the playback speed that the video editor had chosen. This feature was unveiled at the Apple TV 4k presentation, but had not yet appeared. Apple indicated that the option would be available in a later software update.

Finally, we are waiting to know that additional content is added to the Sports section of the Apple TV, According to information from Apple, it wants to provide the sports section with content, in order to broadcast the events in a more interactive way.
