Apple "gives a slap" to Hyundai for talking more than necessary

Apple Car

The car firm Hyundai she's not used to dealing with Apple, and she's unaware of the secrecy that comes with dealing with new projects with the people of Cupertino. In an innocent way, Apple just got "a slap" for publishing that the two firms were together last week.

Now Hyundai already knows that of the next meetings that it has with Apple, (if there are any), it will not be able to say a peep, if it wants to manufacture the mysterious one in the future Apple Car. You are warned.

Innocently (or not ..) Hyundai made a public statement the last week, confirming that it was in conversations with Apple about a possible partnership to make the Apple Car in the near future. Soon after, the car company has backtracked and released a new statement without mentioning Apple at any time.

The automaker is certainly not used to dealing with Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, and is unaware of his strict policy on secrecy of his future projects. This was what Hyundai published after the meeting with the Cupertino:

We understand that Apple is in deals with a variety of automakers, including Hyundai Motor. As the project is in its early stages, nothing has been decided yet

This certainly has not pleased the leaders of Apple, and after the corresponding "slap on the wrist" sent from Apple Park, Hyundai has had to come up with a new declaration, this time without naming the apple company:

We have been receiving requests for potential cooperation from various companies regarding the development of autonomous electric vehicles, but no decisions have been made yet, as the projects are in their early stages.

Apple requires confidentiality agreements with its suppliers

Apple is very strict with the leaks of its new projects, and usually signs confidentiality contracts with your suppliers.

One recently came to light. Signature GT Advanced Technologies had signed a contract with Apple to supply sapphire for iPhone displays. Shortly after, said manufacturer went bankrupt, and in the liquidation process, the confidentiality contract that the two companies had signed appeared, which said that if GT Advanced Technologies leaked any information, it would have to pay Apple 50 million dollars .

That's how Apple spends it, so Hyundai will have to be more careful next time it meets with the Cupertino people. If there is a next time….
