On March 25, Apple presented us with services, services and more services. We did not see any new devices on the horizon, as happened at WWDC 2019, in which, as scheduled, Apple showed much of the News that will come from the hand of the next versions of macOS, iOS, tvOS and watchOS.
One of the services that we knew little or nothing about was Apple Card, an Apple card with which we can manage and control day-to-day expenses in a much easier way. This card, issued by Goldman Sachs, will arrive this summer in the United States, but tests are already underway among Apple employees.
As we can read in Bloomberg, thousands of employees of retail stores located in the United States are testing the Apple Card. Initially, Apple began testing office employeesBut now it has gone a step further and expanded testing to most of its physical store employees, in an internal beta program.
Any employee who wants can join the program and immediately receives the card numbering which is automatically added to Wallet. Those who are requesting the physical card, the approximate waiting time is between 2 to 3 weeks.
Availability in Europe
In the same Bloomberg article, this outlet states that Apple has begun to negotiate with European regulatory institutions the launch of Apple Card in Europe, according to sources involved in the negotiations, so it is likely that finally we will not have to wait any longer than we could imagine.
Benefits of the Apple Card
One of the main attractions of the Apple Card is that It has no issuance or maintenance fee. In addition, it offers us an immediate 3% discount on any purchase we make in the Apple Store, 2% on all purchases we pay through Apple Pay and 1% of the purchases we make on the rest of the purchases paying with the physical card.
