'Business Insider UK' has posted a detailed interview from an Apple Store employee in the UK, offering an interesting insight into what it's like to work in an Apple Store. The interview is unusual in that every Apple staff member signs a confidentiality agreement on his first day at work, which apparently prevents them from speaking in public about their work o advertise your new job on social mediaAnd including prohibits them from taking a selfie wearing the shirt with the apple.

According to the veteran staff member, Apple pays around £ 8 per hour in the UK (about $10,50), and staff do not receive bonus incentives for sales.

We have had between five and eight managers for the store during the time that I have been. Only one of them had started at Apple, the rest had been recruited from elsewhere, for example from Dixons or HMV. Acting as a manager without being a manager. We had some great people in the shop, people who had been there for five years, who were outselling more than anyone. But they were still just specialists or experts [two of the lowest ranking positions at Apple].

As far as I am aware, and I am still in contact with these people, no one in this program has been promoted to manager. There are other jobs within the store that you can earn more money for, but these are technical jobs, like working at the Genius Bar, that a lot of people absolutely hate because you're dealing with very pissed off customers.

According to the worker, the Apple store staff 'routinely face death threats from dissatisfied customers', and do not receive any benefit if they manage to sell a company contract to a client worth hundreds of thousands of euros. But they exist some advantages working in an Apple store, like the staff have a generous discount on Apple products, a discount of 15% in AAPL shares, and occasional shortcut to CEO, Tim Cook.
