Apple will stop sharing the sales figures of its products from December

Apple revenue

As you probably already know, for a long time Apple used to share the figures it obtained from sales of all its products, both Macs, iPhones and iPads, as well as the official accessories that are available. These figures are usually not bad at all, but apparently they don't want to make them public.

And, as we have learned, recently Luca Maestri, Apple's CFO, has publicly announced that they are going to officially stop sharing sales figures of all its products.

Apparently, Apple's CFO has defended this new decision on the grounds that he personally thinks that it is not a good idea to share sales data every 90 days, since this, at least for him, in this case does not represent the success or losses of a business, and you don't want people to see it that way.

They have recently shared the figures for this fourth period of the year, and they are not very bad, since although we do see that Mac sales have continued to decline, the profit is not bad at all, just as we have commented here.

Apparently, in December Apple will already keep the figures hiddenAlthough it will continue to publicly provide reports on the sales of its products, only without the numbers, so unless things change, in the future we will not know completely how much the company's products are actually sold.

Additionally, Luca Maestri has also taken the opportunity to report that, in December, they also intend to make a small change in the denomination of their categories. And it is that, they plan to change the name to the category of "Other products", and instead they will call it "Weareables, House and Accessories", a name that seems more appropriate to talk about Apple Watch, Apple TV, AirPods, HomePod and Beats headphones among other products.
