- FreeOffice: Mac OSX has a text editor, spreadsheets and presentations, which allow you to make files compatible with Microsoft files. These are Pages, Numbers, and Keynotes. - Perian: QuickTime is a great video player for Mac OS X, packed with functions and utilities that satisfy the most demanding, although it lacks codecs to see according to which video formats. Luckily there is Perian. Perian is a battery of audio and video codecs that will make QuickTime play any video and song without getting messy. Perian requires little configuration and as soon as you have it on Mac OS X no video will resist QuickTime.
