Mark Gurman has posted on his blog de Bloomberg that Apple has been working on an iMac Pro for some time now. The most powerful iMac ever, with a high-end processor from the M3 family, and a larger than current 24-inch screen.

Gurman has explained that in 2023 Apple will update the current 1-inch iMac M24 with a new M3 processor, and once on the market, models from the same M3 family will come with high-end processors.

So Gurman assures that the iMac that Apple is preparing for the most professional users will mount a processor M3 Pro or Max M3. A family of M3 processors that will be manufactured by TSMC with 3nm technology, an evolution of the current M1 and M2, manufactured using a 5nm process.

What the good Gurman has not made very clear is the size of its screen. He has assured that it will be larger than the current 1-inch iMac M24, but has not specified whether it will be 28 or 32 inches.

The only negative part of Gurman's blog entry, is that it will take a while to see this future. iMac Pro in the market. Simply because being a device that will assemble the high-end of the next M3, such as the M3 Pro and M3 Max, Apple usually first launches the Macs that incorporate a "basic" processor (M1 and M2) and later launches the most powerful versions, the Pro, Max, Ultra and Extreme of each family.
