Former HBO CEO is about to sign a deal with Apple TV +

Richard Pepler

Again we have to talk about news related to Apple's streaming video service, a service that began its journey on November 1 with a very small catalog but that as the weeks go by, the number of episodes available increases.

The latest news related to Apple's streaming video service states that former HBO CEO Richard Pepler is about to sign an agreement with Apple TV + with his production company RLP & Co to create original content according to The Wall Street Journal.

If Apple seizes Pepler's services, it would take over one of the most respected entertainment executives of the last decade. Under Pepler, HBO has achieved become the successful payment channel where quality is rewarded over quantity.

Pepler withdrew from HBO during the restructuring following AT & T's acquisition of Time Warner. WarnerMedia Chief Executive Officer John Stankey wanted HBO to take a new course by stating that the streaming video service had to expand its network to try to compete with Netflix. If the agreement is finally confirmed, it is likely that the number of productions that Apple currently has in the pipeline, increase considerably with new titles.

For now, the launch of Apple TV + to the market for streaming video services has had a very cold response from users, at least during the first 24 hours, the three most important series available being the ones that have attracted the least attention from the regular user of these services.

Of these three series, See, The morning show and For all humanity, the first three episodes were published, to which we have to add the fourth which is already available since last Friday.
