Analysis: Inside Steve Jobs: The Mind Behind Apple

I really wanted to read this book and the truth is that it has not disappointed me at all, since it is a general review of the life of the leader of Apple that every fan of the apple brand who wants to delve into the subject should read.

perfectionism

The book covers a lot the subject of perfection, of the trial and error method practiced by the design team headed by Jonathan Ive, of Jobs' innumerable attacks of perfection with his engineers - the scroll bars of Mac OS X have more than six months of development behind him, with weekly sketches - or of the demands of all his subordinates regardless of rank or person.

Created, left and returned

I like the way the book covers the departure of Jobs after creating Apple and his return to the company of his loves, and I like it very much because he does it from a very alternative point of view, with data contributed by John Sculley - signed by Jobs and the man who caused his firing - and other members of Apple, although some of them have wanted to remain anonymous.

The successes

The book's treatment of hits is particularly interesting, especially the iPod, which was a device that Apple quickly understood as its own but took time to perfect itself, something that highlights my theory of not being an early adopter.

As for the Mac, I really liked the account of Jobs's discussion with Wozniak about the platform: Jobs was betting on a closed system and Woz - how could it be otherwise - on a system open to all. Jobs won, the rest is history.

Ultimately

I do not want to reveal more of the book because it would destroy it, and only review how difficult it is to get - at least if you do not live in a big city with stores like FNAC-.

It can be bought for about 20 euros in physical bookstores and a little more in online ones if we add the shipping.
