How to unsubscribe from emails using Mail

Email

One of the novelties that we have available in the new version of macOS Catalina is the option to "Unsubscribe" from any email account. Yes, this option allows us to unsubscribe from any site from the Mail application on our Mac. It is something that many of us have active from various websites such as stores, web pages or similar and that we do not know how to remove so Apple makes it easy in this case.

We simply have to access our Mail account in which they are constantly sending us emails with advertising, various information or similar. Now from Mail we can unsubscribe to the list in a simple and direct way. To do this we have to follow these simple steps:

  • We open the Mail application and the email received from a list
  • Now we have to click on the option that appears just on the right side and that says it clearly: «Cancel subscription»
  • Once clicked, we accept the confirmation banner and that's it

A simple and fast way to avoid mail that we do not want and that for some reason or another we have subscribed. Now this subscription will stop sending us notifications in the form of email. But don't worry, if you haven't thought well about canceling these subscriptions and we want to receive them again, we simply have to reactivate the subscription directly with the sender. This option is very interesting and is only available in macOS Catalina and the Mail application.
