Intel has just released new details about its generation of Skylake Processors at IDF 2015 San Francisco, where Intel engineers have suggested that this sixth generation of Core processors could be available for purchase in an approximate time period of two weeks, setting the stage for a possible announcement of the processors that will be mounted on Mac in the IFA Berlin fair that will take place from September 4 to 9.

On the other hand these Skylake processors will feature better graphics integrated as the new Iris Pro will be able to handle up to three monitors with 4K resolution at 60 Hz, If we compare it with the Haswell architecture (two previous generations) it could only handle a single 4K monitor at 30Hz and Broadwell (the previous generation) could handle a single 4K monitor but with a 60Hz refresh rate.

Skylake will also perform 4K video processing Through hardware and support for the latest APIs, that is, both DirectX 12 and OpenCL and OpenGL 4.4 2 will be compatible with this chip.

PC World, a prestigious publication in the PC world, stated:

Intel has dedicated some of the hardware on this chip directly to support 4K encoding and decoding jobs. For example, in a demonstration showing the playback of a 4K RAW video sequence from a Canon camcorder, the playback was completely smooth using the Skylake graphics chip, whereas if only the CPU was used, images and video would be lost. fluency disappeared, everything was jerky.

Skylake processors will provide a 10% to 20% improvement in CPU performance with single and multi-threaded applications, also with lower power consumption and being 30% faster than the integrated graphics chips in the current generation of Broadwell processors.

Hello good, do you think it will be added in the next MacBook Pro? When is this estimated for? And what improvements will you have compared to the current one ..? Thank you very much!
