My MacBook does not charge the battery to 100%, is it normal?

MacBook battery

Just yesterday after publishing the article on the problem of low battery warnings in MacBook, some users asked us about another "problem" found in the batteries of their computers but in this case in charging them.

In this case, as in what was mentioned yesterday, more than a problem, it is something normal in terms of the operation of the system and Apple itself clearly explains that not charging its devices 100% is something normal for us directly helps to take care of the life of our battery.

The battery does not charge 100%

This is not something that happens regularly. And it is not something that all users can experience on their computers since in my case I do not remember that it ever happened to me, but it can be something that happens in a timely manner. Having the charger connected to the equipment for longer does not work in these cases, so it is possible that the battery is left with a charge of between 93 and 99% without ever reaching 100%.

The explanations that we find on Apple's own website is that this behavior is normal and helps to extend the useful life of our battery. It is logical to think that our equipment or rather its battery may have a problem for not carrying out a full charge, but it seems rather the opposite and that occurs when the equipment requires it to protect the battery itself. Did this ever happen to you? Leave us your comment at the bottom about it.

Hello. That has not happened to me, it has always been 100% charged. What happens to me with my mac book pro (2018) is that as soon as I turn it on and start working the fans turn on. He is alone for a long time, is it normal?
    Thank you

      Good Luis,

      thanks for comment

In principle it should not be like that except if you walk with powerful video processes or similar. I understand that it is under warranty for the date so I would go to an Apple store or authorized reseller to have a look if it always does.

      A greeting!

It is not normal. It's for the new update. I called apple and they sorted it out over the phone.
