A new Apple patent reveals the technology of noise cancellation in bone conduction It could make its way into future headphones from the Cupertino company. Apple explains how this technology could be used to improve voice communications.

The new patent that we put the link at the end of the post published this week by the US Patent and Trademark Office, and that is not the only one license referring to type, it is titled "System and method to improve voice quality in a wireless headset, with untethered headset from a mobile device" (forgive my translation), in English "SYSTEM AND METHOD OF IMPROVING VOICE QUALITY IN A WIRELESS HEADSET WITH UNTETHERED EARBUDS OF A MOBILE DEVICE". Within it, Apple describes a system that uses bone structure to improve communication.

Unlike traditional audio-based noise cancellation systems, this version from Apple represents noise and wind level detected by internal ergonomic microphones, and combines that information with the output of the accelerometer, battery level and headset position data.

This Apple system is capable of monitoring two audio sources using various microphones built into the headphones, and then use noise cancellation to block background sounds. Also uses accelerometers to detect vibrations that pass through the users of the vocal cords and bones when speaking.

By combining all of these things, Apple can isolate the user's voice and more efficiently block out noises around you. This would allow both them and the person speaking on the phone to hear your voice louder.

We leave you here the patent and its explanation, all English. Patent 20150245129.
