Like every year, Apple has just opened the period of registration for your summer camps, annual three-day workshops where children from 8 to 12 years they can visit a store and learn how to create interactive books or movies using the brand's most famous programs such as GarageBand, iBooks Author and iMovie on both the iPad and Mac where they will add their own illustrations and sound effects.
The two free workshops This year they have been called "Stories in Motion with iMovie" and "Interactive Storytelling with iBooks."
These Apple Summer Workshops will take place in the morning from 11 am to 12:30 pm local time, on different dates from July 20 to August 7, being able to reserve a place in advance at the Apple Store in the following countries: United States, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain , Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Parents are obviously recommended to register their children as soon as possible since space is limited and the availability of places will depend on who has booked first.
Regarding the workshops, in the first one ("Stories in motion with iMovie") teach children to create their own moviesranging from creating storyboards with ideas and sketches to recording video to creating an original soundtrack in GarageBand on an iPad and editing the whole in iMovie on a Mac.
On the other hand, the second workshop («Interactive storytelling with iBooks») shows children how to create their own interactive books by drawing illustrations on an iPad and adding sound effects using Multi-Touch possibilities with iBooks Author.
