Several rumors point to the launch of a new iMac this week

iMac

A couple of rumors from different sources indicating that a new iMac is going to launch this week. So far perfect. Apple releases new devices almost every month, and this rumor is normal.

What does not add up to me is that they claim that this new iMac is going to be the last of the intel era, without a renewal of the exterior design, reserved for the next iMac of the new generation Apple Silicon. So: Who is going to buy this new iMac, already knowing what Craig Federighi explained to us a month ago?

Kuo she already jumped in the pool a couple of months ago saying that a new 24-inch iMac was about to be launched. We all thought it would be announced at the WWDC 2020 conference in June, and no sign of the device.

A few weeks ago a new rumor which was talking about a new iMac with a 9-core Intel i10 CPU and Radeon Pro 5300 GPU that had appeared in the test results Geekbench.

Well today we have two new rumors from two different sources that suggest that this iMac with an Intel processor will be released this week. It would be the last iMac of the Intel generation, after seeing in the Keynote of the WWDC 2020 the Apple Silicon project.

Different sources speak of the same topic: new iMac in sight

Twitter account @ L0vetodream, already gave us some clues. Tweeted last week that new Apple products were "ready to ship." In the past, this Twitter account has accurately reported details about macOS Big Sur, the new iPhone SE, new iPad Pros, etc. So in principle it is legit.

Today's first rumor appears on the Twitter account @SoyBeys where he assures that a new iMac will be launched this week, without giving no detail more about its characteristics.

He second rumor suggests that the new iMac with Intel processor The tenth generation will not have a totally new design. Instead, Apple appears to be saving its redesign for iMacs that feature ARM processors from Apple Silicon's new age.

Taking into account that it is most likely that the first Apple Silicon will appear before the end of the year, the launch of an iMac at this point does not have much commercial logic that differs very little from the current one iMac Intel i9.
