According to the latest virtual intelligence tests carried out by the company Wolf Ventures, Apple's HomePod successfully asks more than half of the questions we ask. The tests were carried out in different situations and the quality of the sound, the ease of use of the device and the speed of response, among other measurable characteristics, were tested.

Although, according to this study, Siri on the HomePod correctly recognized 99.4% of the queries made, only 52.3% of them answered correctly, out of nearly 800 questions on 3 different HomePods.

Compared to its rivals, Siri didn't turn out too well: Amazon Alexa 64% answered satisfactorily, Google Home reached 81%, and Cortana from Microsoft, was correct in 57% of the cases. In the graph below we can see the responses by categories that this study makes clear:

According to the result of this investigation, Siri improves on its opponents when asked for music topics as well as local inquiries such as restaurant services or nearby shops. In more generic questions, Apple's assistant still doesn't live up to expectations.

Researchers explain in this study that HomePod and Siri should grow over time to match or beat rival attendees and no longer limit yourself to just adding “internal” queries to calendar, email, calls, GPS navigation, and other native applications.

What does stand out in the HomePod with respect to rivals, is the ability to pick up the user's voice at normal volume, even playing music at the same time, or if the user whispers something several meters away from the device. This feature is really different from its main competitors.

In addition, The sound quality of Apple's new "toy" is confirmed to be impressive. The sound is clean and exceeds all expectations.
