Spanish voice and dictation support update for OS X 10.10 Yosemite

yosemite-3

When you finish installing OS X Yosemite, do not think that everything will be done, Apple adds a new update once we have installed the new operating system on our machine which adds support for dictation and voices in Spanish. This update is available once we have installed the new operating system. The new versions of Diego and Mónica, which become the default voice names for Spanish in Spain in the dictation and speech function of OS X, improve pronunciation and clarity of reproduction.

The new voices added by Apple and the new support for dictation are 1GB in size. Undoubtedly this function is interesting for some occasions but it is not necessary to have it activated if we do not want it, to deactivate or activate it we can follow these steps that we already saw in a previous tutorial for OS X Mavericks.

Dictation understands basic commands related to text, such as “all caps”, “new paragraph” and “new line”. When you say "period", "comma", "question mark" or "exclamation mark", Dictation adds that punctuation mark to the current text field. When saying a calendar date (such as "January 30, 1983"), you don't need to say "comma." The comma is detected and entered automatically.

The dictation and speech functions are the same, so we are sure that you will take advantage of this option. Obviously, the connection of an external microphone or headphones with a microphone is also supported to be able to dictate to our Mac. This function was activated in OS X Mountain Lion and has been improving in the following versions until its arrival in OS X Yosemite 10.10.

hello when I dictate the audio is disconnected so that I cannot listen to music while I dictate for example, not even with the microphone and headphones. How can I listen while I dictate? thanks
