The Apple Stores will optimize the management of appointments in the Genius Bar

According to information that comes from different publications, Apple is preparing some improvements in its Genius Bar appointments to optimize waiting time. Recall that currently, appointments in these Genius Bar are scheduled with a duration of 10 minutes for IOS devices and 15 minutes for Mac. If the client needs more time, they are usually asked to book a consecutive appointment if possible.

However and seeing that this is not the most feasible, Apple would be working to adopt a system that allow technicians to extend life of an appointment during the visit without having to resort to subsequent appointments.

Employees of the Apple Store already speculate that the new operation will use a new algorithm to automatically appointments are resigned to other employees in-store, as needed, so they can adjust service times without missing appointments. Employees also believe that this change could potentially cause break times to be shortened until an appointment is fully attended, but these breaks will not change in length.
