To this day, it may come as no surprise that the Apple Watch is a worldwide bestseller, despite being only compatible with iPhones, unlike the rest of smartwatches on the market that if they are compatible with all devices on the market, both iOS and Android.

Since Cupertino they have never announced sales figures for this device, as well as for AirPods, so we have to rely on the analyzes made by companies such as IDC, App Annie, Counterpoint Research and others. The latest report showing Apple Watch sales around the world, points out that Apple continues to dominate the market.

This latest report, signed by Counterpoint Research, states that Apple has increased the number of shipments during 2020 by 6% compared to the same period of the previous year. This represents an increase in the market share of 2% compared to 2019, in this way, the Apple Watch has a 28% market share of smart watches compared to the 26% it had at this time.

But if we talk about money, we have to talk about 2.300 million that Apple has generated through the sales of the different models of Apple Watch. As stated by Counterpoint Research:

In terms of sales, Apple's position is even stronger. In the third quarter, it reached $ 2.300 billion, nearly half of global smartwatch shipments and an 18% increase over the same period last year.

Samsung had stalled in the first half of 2020. As it attracts fewer premium consumers compared to Apple, demand from its base was weaker during the pandemic. But it bounced back in the third quarter with the launch of the Galaxy Watch 3. In terms of revenue, Samsung grew 59% annually and expects a good growth boost now.

Once again, both China and North America are the countries that they have pulled the car generating most of the revenue generated from Apple Watch sales.
