First trailer for Apple TV + Tehran series now available

Tehran

The first trailer of one of the upcoming releases that will arrive in serial format on Apple's streaming video service, Tehran, is now available on the Apple TV + YouTube channel, a trailer that reminds us quite of the Homeland seriesNot only because of the plot, but also because of the setting and the actors that are part of the cast.

This Israeli thriller (Apple bought the rights a few months ago) focuses a Mossad agent working undercover inside Iran, offers us all the elements of tension that we can imagine in a series of espionage. Tehran will arrive on Apple TV + on September 25, three months after its premiere in the Middle East.

Tehran stars actress Niv Sultan as Tamar Rabinyan, a Mossad agent working undercover in Iran. Tamar is a Jewish hacker who was born in Iran but raised in Israel, so in this mission she returns to her homeland to carry out a secret mission to shoot down Iranian air defenses so that Israel can bomb a nuclear plant.

Like Carrie Mathinson from Homeland (role played by Claire Danes), Tamar is a deadly spy with varying abilities. Tamar falls in love with Faraz Kameli, a role played by actor Shaun Toub, in charge of leading the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in Tehran, actor who was part of the cast of Homeland.

Another of the familiar faces of this series that he was also part of the cast of Homeland is Navid Negahban, who played the role of Al-Qaeda leader Abu Nazir. Tehran was created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden and Maor Kohn for an Israeli television channel, a series that attracted negative attention from Iranian leaders.
