Rumors that Apple will offer a 7 iPhone Plus with a storage option of 256 GB have soared. In recent times two major developments in the NAND industry seem to indicate that rumors of Apple's planning to offer a 256GB storage variant for the iPhone 7 Plus are probably true.
First of all last month, Samsung became the first company to start mass production of 256 NAND chips GB for smartphones. Until then, no NAND vendor had started mass production of the 256GB NAND for smartphones, which meant that Apple can offer a 256GB storage option for the iPhone 7 Plus technically not impossible.
Second, the images of the 256 GB NAND flash memory from SanDisk have been filtered as you can see in the image that we put below these lines.
These recent developments add more credit to rumors about Apple offering the iPhone 7 Plus with a 256GB storage option. The next iPhones will probably come with a higher resolution display, and there is a high probability that Apple will ditch the base 16GB storage option, and instead offer that of 32 GB of storage space. And this is normal, every time we save photos or videos with high resolution, the capacity of our iPhone is drastically reduced.
It is also quite possible that Apple may end up using these high-capacity NANDs in the iPad Pro next generation or iPad Air 3.
What do you think about this ability? Would you buy an iPhone with the storage space of 256 GB ?.
