The tariffs imposed by the Donald Trump administration on companies that import products from China they went into effect a few hours ago. Obviously Apple is one of the affected companies and we can say that several of its products already have to pay a little more taxes because of this new law.
At 00:01 last Sunday, September 1, companies have a new tax of 15% established to operate with China. Undoubtedly this will be negative for the companies themselves and we will see if it ends up affecting users, since the price will become more expensive for the company and this may or may not add an increase in the sale price to the public ...
At the moment the first teams that will have to pay these taxes in the case of Apple iPhone does not appear, since the rates of this tax were postponed until next December 15. In the case of the rest of Apple equipment we can see that in the first list they appear:
- IMac
- The Apple Watch t all its straps
- The HomePod
- The AirPods
- Various Beats headphones
- Some iPhone Repair Parts and NAND Flash Memory
Actually these taxes will be a real headache for any company that it has to import products between the United States and China, that is why companies are beginning to move to take their production or part of it to other countries. In the case of Apple we have seen during these months several places in which Apple plans to carry part of its production, so we are sure that we will soon see real changes in this matter.
