Two mysterious Macs appear on the Steam website

Rumors about the imminent arrival of two new Macs in Apple stores continue. The new rumor does not come from an influencer or Apple analyst who is dedicated to spreading rumors and waiting to see if there is luck and matches what he says. On this occasion, the news comes from a Trusted website such as the Steam video game portal.

From time to time, Steam by Valve perform a hardware survey, where your users allow their hardware configurations to be submitted anonymously, to see what kind of computers your customers use. Well, in one of those surveys a couple of unpublished Macs have appeared. From the looks of it, some unannounced Macs have appeared on the list. In a November survey, there is a list of identifiers for typical models across the range, but with the inclusion of two outliers. With a percentage of users too low for Valve to report, there are listings for “Mac14,6” and “Mac15,4”.

The listings could be new Mac models that are about to hit stores but seem to be on the horizon. In fact, one of the models is already "regular" of this type of rumors, because it is not the first time that it appears. A reference to “Mac14,6” was seen in Apple's code in July, along with the “Mac14,5” and “Mac14,8”.

Likewise, in November, a Geekbench result appeared for a device identified as "Mac14,6", with the configuration apparently with 96 GB of RAM. It was also running the "Apple M2 Max" which had a 12 core CPU running at 3.54GHz.

It is more than likely that Apple engineers are testing the new configurations of the Mac and therefore that list that has appeared has all the ballots to be authentic. So yes, it looks like two new Macs are on the way.
