The expansion of Apple Pay around the world is being slower than the guys in Cupertino would have expected at first. Little by little, more and more countries already have at their disposal this new way of paying through the iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or via the web through Safari. The latest rumors related to this technology inform us of the upcoming arrival of Apple Pay in Ukraine, although It will do so in the middle of next year. Although there is still a year to go, users of Apple products already know when they will be able to enjoy this technology.

Currently Spain is the only Spanish-speaking country that has Apple Pay, while Mexico, which recently opened its first Apple Store, is still waiting to be able to use the iPhone to pay for purchases. It is logical to assume that Mexico will be the next Spanish-speaking country to receive this technology, simply because the guys from Cupertino already have an official Apple Store and according to various leaks it plans to open two new stores of its own in the country, as we reported a few weeks ago.

The main problem that Apple is encountering when expanding its electronic payment service is related to banks, banks that are unwilling to share the commission they charge each merchant for each transaction. According to the media that has leaked the news, Samsung plans to launch its payments system throughout this year, while the next country to receive Apple Pay will be India, where Apple is reaching very beneficial agreements with the government. Currently Apple Pay is available in Australia, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Spain Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom and obviously the United States.
