New changes and movements in the ranks of Apple. After 21 years with the company, Christopher Stringer to leave Cupertino headquarters. His future is not yet clear but he has finally made this drastic decision due, apparently, to the multiple changes that are taking place in the design department of the Californian brand.
Stringer was instrumental in the design of the first iPhones and iPads to go on sale. In addition, she has participated in the trials and legal cases of the North American company with the lawsuits between her and Samsung, supporting the cause of the apple as a key witness.
Little by little, Apple's design team is fraying. Since a couple of years ago, Jonathan Ive will stop managing the team, his old department, many of the graphic designers key to the rise of Apple with the arrival of the iPhone and the subsequent success of the sale of the iPad are gone.
Christopher Stringer now does what many of his peers did previously. Although we do not know exactly the reasons that lead to it, we see that it is not an isolated case. The veteran designer leaves the Cupertino company after 21 years of service.
This department, headed since then by Richard Howarth, a trusted person of Apple CEO Tim Cook, has undergone numerous changes. ANDThis changing leadership has precipitated some of the top designers in Apple's ranks deciding to leave the company.
For example, designer Danny Coster left Apple last year to join the GoPro design team. We do not know exactly what may be happening in the internal sphere from Cupertino headquarters, but let's hope they don't continue to suffer from this uncontrolled brain drain.
