We will have thinner MacBook thanks to a redesign of its hinges

The next Apple Keynote in June is approaching very quickly and the weeks are going by almost without realizing it. Gone is the long-awaited Keynote of March 21 leaving the eyes focused on WWDC 2016. This Keynote is where Apple normally presents its software news but also in those that present the brand's new computers, whether desktop or portable.

We all know that the design of MacBook The 12-inch models presented in 2015 are the future of the brand and proof of this is that a few months ago we learned that Apple was talking with its suppliers to be able to redesign the parts that make up the MacBook in such a way that from Cupertino they could come up with a slimmer design with more power than is now available with the current 12-inch MacBook.

However, to be able to do this, the redesign of the laptop must be total and they would have to redesign the hinge that the current MacBook Air or MacBook Pro Retina have. As you know, the 12-inch MacBook hinge has already been reimagined to be able to take much better advantage of the interior of the device, now it is the turn of the MacBook Pro.

These new hinges would be manufactured with the metal injection process, since in this way very small parts can be obtained very quickly without using milling cutters and lathes, which in addition to wasting material take longer to shape. The company in charge of making these pieces is called Amphenol And it is a company that has been dedicated to this type of manufacturing process for years. Such is the value of this company that it is the current manufacturer of the hinges that Microsoft uses in the Surface 4.

We will see in June if the new MacBook Pros, if they are presented, have these new hinges.

Everyone and everywhere talk only about the MacBook wonder and a half, but because nobody talks about the MacBook Pro, we have a lot that we want power not a slice of ham.
