What if we forget the answers to the security questions What made us put Apple in its app store? This is what an acquaintance recently asked me and that is why I want to share with all of you the solution to this "problem", since that way we will know how to act if it happens to us.

Relatively recently, Apple changed the way we could access our iTunes account (better known as ID) to modify it, change it or simply add a new email address, in this change it added three "security questions" to be able to make these changes, and it is normal that you can forget them.

Don't worry, you won't be the first to happen to you and you won't be the last. Surely when making this change a few months ago, we do not remember what answers we put to the generic questions asked. Well, now you will say, I may not remember the answers I put either! Let's check it:

We enter https://appleid.apple.com/ or from the support page of the Apple Store Online and click on Manage your Apple ID:

Once the email address and password of our account have been inserted, we are going to click on Password and Security:

This is where he asks us to answer to two of the three questions they asked us months ago, well if we know the answers we won't have problems, but what if we don't know them? From here we have two options:

  • If you set up a reset email account, you will have the option at the bottom recover-password-store-1
  • Call Apple directly or contact your helpdesk service

Either of these two options, we will fix the problem quickly. If you configured your account with a recovery email, you will save the call (even though it is free) and you may solve it more quickly, but if your option is to call Apple because you did not configure the recovery email, they will not put you any problem and Following a few simple steps with the advisor on the other end of the phone, you will have the problem solved shortly.

      Hi Max, in principle you should call whoever is in support but if any of them are free, try that one. In Spain the 900 are the free ones, I don't know what they are in Mexico

          The only way is by calling technical support and after answering all the personal information they ask for, they will reset your password and you can add the email address for future occasions.
