Apple released the first beta of TVOS 9.1 to developers earlier this week, but although many expected a feature that is already essential in iOS, it seems that it has not been added in this beta yet, we are talking precisely about the possibility of creating folders with applications on the main page.

Smith has focused deeply on getting the most out of the tvOS 9.0 build, he was even able to modify part of the code to create folders to work with. Since then he has been progressing in his work and has shared certain images through your twitter account with the progress it has made, even showing how users will be able to name the folders and not just be based on the suggested names that Apple introduces based on the categories of the applications in the App Store.
To remove an application from a folder for example, you just have to press play / pause button on the siri remote. The folders, as can be seen from the images, have a 3 × 3 configuration, which means that up to 9 applications could fit on a single page. In any case, it is not clear how many pages each of the folders will have available.
The code for creating folders is there, however Apple has not implemented it yet neither in version 9.0, nor does it seem that it will in 9.1 according to the beta that have been released so far.
