A patent hints that macOS could be possible on the iPad

iPad Pro

A patent of the American company with open doors to a possibility that many of us have dreamed of for a long time. The possibility of owning an iPad with macOS. The patent tells us that in a future iPad to which a keyboard is added, it could go from an operating system to one with macOS or an adapted version of it, so that the tablet works as if it were a Mac. You imagine?. The dream come true. That would be a portable and functional Mac, ideal for work, studies or whatever comes to mind. Let's see what exactly the patent consists of.

The patent describes a new device that would have keys, a trackpad, which could be a full-fledged keyboard, which could be combined with a kind of iPad or an iPad itself, and that way we would get a new terminal with macOS but that could also be effective for the Apple Pencil. That is to say, an iPad with a Mac operating system. It is not necessary to give it much more thought, but the patent does not describe it in this way as exact as I have just done. But honestly, there are times when you have to read between the lines.

Patent of an iPad with a macOS

In this last image we can see what the device would be like that would be integrated into that keyboard and that could finally have macOS. It is very similar to some computers that exist on the market right now, because in this sense there is little to invent. But best of all, we could have that iPad without a keyboard and with iPadOS to do anything light and fast or when we need to go light. But when you get home, we connect the iPad to the device and magically a Mac.

Hopefully this patent becomes reality. Because as you already know, being a patent it may be just an idea and it may not end up being reflected in the realm of reality. Because at the moment it is what we have, an idea. We will have to wait and hopefully not long.
