Acer introduces new 4k monitor with USB-C connection compatible with 15-inch MacBook Pro

It seems that at the moment LG has been the company that has taken over from Apple when it comes to making monitors, but it is not the only one that is launching monitors with USB-C connection and that we can use with the new MacBook Pro 2016. The monitors currently available on the market with this type of connection do not help us, in most cases, to keep our MacBook Pro charged, however, the new model that Acer has presented is thanks to its 85W charger, which does perfectly compatible with the 15-inch MacBook Pro model and that will always keep it fully charged.

We are talking about the ProDesigner PE320QK model, a monitor with a brightness of 550 nits and 4k resolution. This new monitor offers us an improved color gamut supporting 130% of sRGB and 95% of the DCI-P3 ranges. In addition, thanks to the 85W power it allows our 15-inch MacBook Pro 2016 to always be 100% charged while we use it with the monitor connected. This new model has a cover that prevents reflections from lights or windows from affecting the display of the content displayed on the screen.

In the event in which Acer has presented this new monitor, the Taiwanese company has not specified which are the input and output connections of this device, in addition to the USB-C connection. According to images posted by AppleInsider, the Acer ProDesigner PE320QK has an HDMI connection with MHL support, a Mini DisplayPort-in connection, a Mini DisplayPort-out connection, a headphone connection and various ports, without specifying the number, presumably 3.1 type C.

Monitor controls are available on the back of the device allowing offer a very slim frame compared to other similar devices. At the moment there is no information on the prices of this new monitor, but as soon as we know it, we will inform you promptly.
