Add "Preferences" panels to the dock

SCRIPTS PACK

Most of us access the dashboard daily. System preferences to modify any of its properties. As we know, we can access through the Launchpad or through the Spotlight much faster. Today I bring you another way to do it, and it is without entering System Preferences.

What we are going to use is some small Apple Scripts that will take us directly to those utilities directly by clicking on an icon that we will place in the However,.

From Mactuts We get a curious package of scripts to carry out this task. Simply downloading the shortcuts to the different panels of System Preferences and dragging them to the dock or by adding said folder to the stacks, we can access our favorite preferences.

The pack can be downloaded from the page I link below. the same contains 27 scripts that open different areas of System Preferences such as: Boot Disks, Voice Dictation, Software Update, Date and Time, Parental Controls, Users and groups, Sharing, Bluetooth, Mail, Contacts and Calendars, Energy Saver, CDs & DVDs, Security and Privacy, Language and text, Mission Control, Desktop and Screensavers, Sounds, General, Dock, Spotlight, Notifications, Screen, Mouse, Keyboard, Trackpad, Network ...

When we download it, we will realize that each of these mini applications have a name in English, to which with a little time, simply renaming we will have them in our language and ready to use. It should be noted that it is only available for OSX Mountain Lion and requires that the first time we disable the Gatekeeper, being able to activate it again when we open a panel for the first time.

It is a very useful application since, for example, if we have a Macbook Air like me, we will change the network settings depending on the location, or to quickly change the sound settings, we will configure the different parameters of the screens that we have connected, etc.
