There are many possible uses that it has today in Apple Watch. Among the most prominent, is the monitoring of health and a healthier life. Today we echo the news that Aetna, a medical insurer based in Connecticut, USA, wants to put the new Apple Watch on the wrist of all its customers, to help them lead a healthier life.

As we know, with the Apple Watch we can measure our heart rate, time we dedicate to sleep, healthy eating habits or amount of exercise performed.

In order to improve the quality of life of its customers, Aetna proposes to grant each of its customers an Apple Watch, thus helping each client to improve their healthy habits, in addition to knowing first-hand how your body works and how to improve personal health.

The giant medical insurer offers coverage to almost 25 million Americans, and is in advanced conversations with Apple to incorporate the product of the Californian company as a claim to get more customers. During the meetings held, both companies seem to have reached an agreement: Aetna will offer a Watch to all its customers at a very reduced price or for free, depending on the coverage contracted.

For its part, Apple would gain a new portfolio of nearly 25 million potential customers for its Apple Watch, as well as the corresponding iPhone, the only device with which the smartwatch is paired. This agreement would be the last between the two companies, not the first, since a year ago both companies collaborated by offering an Apple Watch to the almost 50.000 employees of the insurer.

Said insurer seeks with this collaboration agreement that its clients require less medical attention, thus reducing expenses and number of medical consultations.
