AirPods Pro have better latency than their predecessors

Apple AirPods are already priced even for their repairs

The AirPods Pro have greatly improved Apple's wireless headphones that were already on the market. Not only for its water resistance or noise cancellation, if not, it has also been proven that bluetooth latency it is better than in its little brothers.

These headphones continue to undergo different tests because their users do not cease to be surprised by their benefits and qualities. Right now it is known that its bluetooth is one of the best on the market.

The latency of the AirPods Pro is almost negligible

The musician and software developer Stepehen Coyle, has analyzed the delay that the AirPods Pro could have when playing sounds or music. This delay is what we know as latency.

Latency, or delay can be a problem with sounds that are "unpredictable" such as those initiated by the user or those that may arise in video games.

Coyle has measured latency using two different software at the same time:

  1. The iOS keyboard itself, where the user can play any key at any time.
  2. A game developed by Coyle himself, called tapt.

After explaining the strictly technical details,After explaining the strictly technical details, of how the tests were carried out, which we are going to ignore, because really what we care about the results.

The first AirPods that were released, resulted in a latency or lag of 274mswhile those of second generation offered a lesser result, 178ms. Especially thanks to the new chio H1.

The surprising thing is that even having the same chip, the AirPods Pro gave a result of 144ms. So Apple has nailed it with the internal structure of these new headphones.

As a comparison with other models, we can say that the Beats Studio 3 gave 250ms as an answer, almost like the first generation AirPods.
