AirPort base stations starting to disappear from some stores

A few weeks ago we echoed the statement that he had made to Apple in which he stated that the AirPort bases would begin to cease to be available in company storesas Apple has decided to discontinue production of this device. In the same statement, the company recommended that we make use of more modern and efficient devices.

The unavailability of AirPort base stations has become a reality, and today many stores in various countries no longer offer these products in their facilities, which is turning the task of getting it into something practically impossible for many users, especially for the most nostalgic.

In the United States, AirPort Extreme appears with the label "Out of Stock" in the online store. It is also not available for pickup at any Apple Store nationwide. Base stations are still available in some countries in limited units in other countries like Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore.

AirPort Express and AirPort Time Capsule are still available in stock both in the United States and in the vast majority of countries, but the most probable thing is that over time the inventory will decrease until it disappears completely, as Apple announced a few weeks ago.

The entire AirPort range is no longer available in the Apple Store online in several European countries such as Spain, France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom, although it is likely that some physical stores in these countries may have an AirPort device in their inventory.

Before Apple's announcement of the discontinuation of AirPort base stations, the Cupertino-based company I had not renewed it for 5 years. The latest update for the AirPort Time Capsule dates from WWDC 2013 while the AirPort Express is from June 2012. All of these devices continue to use the old 802.11n Wi-Fi standard.
